Zargaron hotel has excellent location right in the center of ancient Bukhara and next to the architectural monuments, not far from Poi Kalon ensemle.  A great point for walks along the stunning old city with its beautiful bazaars and haunting Islamic architecture. The Kalyon Minaret is almost touching distance, 3 of the old trade domes are close by and there are so many Madrasas just around the corner that there is history and world heritage sites at every step. This charming hotel is walking distance to the Ark and all the other historical sites within Old Bukhara city. It is an elegant looking hotel with a beautiful lobby and tasteful decoration. Zargaron hotel is inspired by the ancient name of this area. Zargaron came from Persian language and means "the quarter occupied by jewelers", where prior to the 20th century Bukhara jewelers lived & worked. The place for trading was a trade dome located in the same quarter.

The rooms are cosy with good air-con and reasonable wifi. Very modern bathroom and adequate room space. Beds are comfortable. A recent building designed in the style of a merchant's home with the 2 courtyards, this lovely hotel have atmosphere with modern conveniences - big room, a bedside light, case table with a light overhead, spacious bathroom (but with the dreaded shower over bath with flexible shower head), desk and chair, internet in the room. Zargaron hotel is constructed in architectural style of inhabited constructions of Bukhara of the 19th century and at the same time it offers all the modern facilities needed to stay comfortably. The hotel is truly a nice place to stay to feel the atmosphere of the middle Ages with a help of the experienced staff. Some rooms are overlooking   Kalyan mosque and minaret, these two sights which are magnificent in early morning and late afternoon.

 Breakfast is fairly standard (with porridge, pancakes, eggs, fruit, cheese and ham) but plentiful and fresh in a charmingly decorated breakfast room. If there's a tour group it will be buffet-style, otherwise served up on a plate. You’ll admire greatly the variety that is available at the breakfast buffet. You can taste delicious and rich food for the dinner at the restaurant of the hotel at reasonable prices. The hotel has 2 yards, which are called outer and inner yards. In the past, the outer yards were used to be a reception for guests and the inner yard was used by the family only. There is a magnificent view from the hotel's inner yard and the summer bar to the old architecture buildings around. You can relax at the summer bar sipping a cold beer or green tea and admire perfect view of Kalyan Minaret.

Restaurant decorated in oriental style seats 36 persons. You can enjoy international and local cuisine cooked by skilful chef. From the terrace bar and three suite rooms with balconies and verandas have a spectacular view to the famous monuments. The small and peaceful yard of the hotel arranged in national style and has a small garden with decorative plants. On the second floor of restaurant is the open summer bar for 40 persons from which the panoramic view of the most part of the city opens and in a basement the winter bar is located.

The rooms are spacious with good curtains, decent beds, cozy bedding material, fine furniture and good lighting. The bathroom is modern, new and clean. There are luxury and standard rooms at the hotel some of which have balconies facing the architectural ensemble of Poi Kalyan. Zargaron hotel features 17 guest rooms including four single, ten doubleand three suite rooms with private balcony and can accommodate up to 30 persons.

Lovely little hotel with very friendly staff. Location can't be beat - close to everything, yet very quiet.
