Sultan hotel is ideally located in the center of the historical part of the city and surrounded with its architectural landmarks. Hotel has a good view towards architectural complex Lyabi-Hovuz including the Lyabi-Hovuz pool, Khonakoh Nodir Devonbegi, Madrassah Nodir Devonbegi, statue of Nasriddin Afandi (Hodja Nasreddin), Madrassah Kukeldash and the Tea-House (Chay-Khana) Lyabi-Hovuz. A brand new, privately-owned hotel of Bukhara it was opened just in 2008. The hotel boasts inner decor and external facade all made in the old Bukharian style with traditional oriental design and decorations.

Conveniently located next to Lyabi-Hovuz Square, it offers only 12 rooms, styled in kitschy, somewhat confusing traditional Uzbek de'cor. It is definitely worthwhile staying there, just be sure to book one of deluxe rooms, having a wonderful view of Lyabi-Hovuz Square. The hotel has 3 deluxe rooms, two of them overlooking the square (a blue and a green one) while the third one (red) is in the other side of the building. The rooms are of good size, clean, and well provisioned. The aircon (essential in summer) is quiet and efficient, rooms have baths and hot water. The rooms have the following equipments: A/C, refrigerator, TV, telephone and has an access to Internet. The hotel is a two story building with rather spacious rooms and a bathtub in bathrooms.

You can relax in the hotel yard drinking a cup of green tea or coffee. The friendly staff is always welcome and eager to provide the high level of service. Moreover, the roof-top bar offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the whole neighborhood. Breakfast is ok, though nothing special. Restaurants, bars and shops are all a short distance away.
