Hotels
The Hotel "Shakhrisabz Yulduzi" is located in the city center, in a walking distance there are major tourists' attractions: the palace of Amir Temur, Ak-Saray and other interesting historical sites of the ancient Shakhrisabz city.
The hotel has 50 guestrooms. No air-conditioning. No fans.
There are also two bars, swimming pool, sauna, parking, services for people with disabilities and the restaurant with capacity of 100 seats, which has a spectacular view on nearby historical monuments.
This is probably the best option for those visiting Shakhrisabz, though it is quite hard to find any nice thing to say about this hotel. The hotel is quite average even for Uzbekistan standards but again, there is not much to choose from here. Reasonably clean and comfortable. Still requires lot of maintenance as many things might not work in the rooms (AC, lights, etc). Elevator is not working (and seems for many months). Little service from the reception. Staff is unmotivated and seems indifferent.
No wifi except in the lobby as seems to be standard in the more basic Uzbekistan hotels.
Breakfast is limited with no choice at all, they just bring you fried eggs, sliced cheese & butter. Nothing to drink but tea or coffee. Bottled water in the room? None!
Soviet era hotel which has nothing to recommend it. The place is soulless. This is the Fawlty Towers of Uzbekistan.
