Hotels
Radisson Blu Tashkent Hotel is one of the few 4 star international standard hotels operating in Uzbekistan and probably one of the best hotels operating in Tashkent along with Intercontinental and Dedeman Silk Road Tashkent. This is an excellent hotel in its class, with fantastic full service facilities and friendly staff. Radisson Tashkent is located in the centre of Tashkent city on Amir Temur Street just 100 meters away from "Bodomzor" metro (tube) station that makes easy getting around the city. Taxis are very cheap and available in plenty.
The hotel's building is smaller comparing to other 4-5 star hotels in Tashkent and noticeably less crowded since the main clientele are business travelers preferring this place for central location and top-notch service. This is definitely your choice if you are on business in Tashkent as the hotel has everything you would expect from a Radisson in this part of the world.
There is a nice lobby to meet and negotiate, very comfortable for business discussions. The hotel is well maintained, however, floors in corridors would benefit from new carpeting.
Hotel has 110 guest rooms including four business class rooms, eight junior suites and one executive suite. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel premises. Non-smoking rooms and rooms for disabled guests are available upon request.
Rooms are fine and comfortable, spacious enough, with good beds and good pressure shower. Unfortunately it's not possible to open the window in some rooms. Hotel faces a very noisy street with a lot of transportation, windows are not sound proof and you get quite a noise of cars passing by. Ask for higher floor and try to avoid the front-side rooms. There are also not enough free sockets, the only 4 sockets are taken by lanterns and you would need to disconnect some of them if you need to charge you laptop or mobile phone. No alcohol in the mini bar. The hotel provides free toiletries.
The breakfast buffet is quite good with a variety of different hot dishes, lot of pastries, cheese, fruits and fresh salads. They charge around $16 for the breakfast which is a bit pricey for the region.
Food & Beverage in the bar and the restaurant are quite expensive comparing to local prices and are close to European rates, with bottle of Russian beer around $8. But there are a number of good traditional restaurants nearby, like "Sarbon" which are not overpriced.
With two meeting rooms and one exquisite ballroom, the Radisson SAS Hotel in Tashkent offers some of the finest meeting facilities in the city. Hotel also offers a fully-equipped Business Centre and a fully dedicated Meetings & Events Coordinator who ensures that your event is a success.
The big advantage is an outdoor swimming pool you can normally use from May till September. However, there is no indoor pool. The gym is not big, but quite decent after being upgraded recently. Guests can also use massage room and sauna. The gift shop is worth visiting if you need to find something to take home.
The staff is very friendly, polite, smiling and attentive to customer requests. Overall the service is excellent, quite typical Radisson of good standard. This is a good purely business hotel where the staff will go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Excellent value and good for business. One of the top three hotels to stay in Tashkent.
