New Moon Hotel is a small cozy hotel located in heart of an ancient part of Bukhara constructed in ancient Bukhara style. It is located 2 minutes walk from Lyabi-Hovuz square. Airport is in 10 minutes drive from the hotel, a taxi stand at 50 meters. Location of the hotel makes it a good place to stay if you are interested in sightseeing. Near hotel, just about a hundred meters there is very good restaurant. Be careful and do not order too much. They serve big meals. Another one hundred meters in the other side there is historical complex of Bukhara. So, everything is in one place.
The hotel is built in a traditional Uzbek style with a courtyard. Graceful wooden columns, with carved Oriental patterns, wall frescos in style of ancient masters, oriental carpets, from everywhere you get a touch of antiquity and oriental legends. Here you can begin acquaintance with history and culture of the ancient Orient. You will plunge into a life and culture of traditional Bukhara. Here you will take pleasure from oriental national ware, to sit on bed (ayvan) behind a cup of fragrant tea, to listen to legends of ancient Bukhara, will get acquainted with traditions and to feel true hospitality of the Uzbek people.
The courtyard is big with tables and benches. It provides a nice place to relax. The staff is really friendly, and will take good care of you. If you want to stay a couple of days in Bukhara at a cheap but decent place, this is where you can go. It is not recommended for long term staying as the rooms are quite small and after 1-2 weeks you'll not feel comfortable there.
There is a very nice small courtyard in this hotel. This is the place where they serve breakfast, but it is also very convenient to seat here in the evening and relax after busy day. It is superb and very refreshing experience.

Dining at New Moon Hotel
The hotel has cafe "New Moon", which works from 7am till 11pm. Breakfast is basic but nice, pancakes, jam, eggs, fruit, bread, butter, meat and cheese, marmalade, fruit (watermelon, grapes), and some local specialties and of course tea and coffee. It is very nice and plentiful. All is served at the table. There is an inner yard with several tables, quite cozy, with unlimited supply of tea. The staff is helpful, but not intrusive - if you need something, you have to ask, they will not chase you offering their services. This is not a family hotel, so do not expect here some special Uzbek hospitality like in small homely hotels. But in the rest the service is great.
Laundry is returned without a premium added in just over 12 hours and is incredibly economical.
Charming small hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the significant historical sites and a number of good restaurants. The buffet breakfast is generous with freshly cooked fried eggs, fresh local bread, meats, cheese and fruit. Overall, it is a good value for the money.
