Konstantin hotel is more a business type hotel and is located in modern part of Samarkand next to major business districts and administrative offices. One would definitely need to use some transport to explore ancient monuments of Samarkand since they are not within walking reach. But taxis are quite cheap so that should not be a problem. The city is rather large, it is the second largest city in Uzbekistan, so one would need using transport anyway to visit all the ancient monuments of the city and nearby surroundings. So if you are a tourist and do not bother about location too much then this hotel is recommended. And there are a couple restaurants within walking distance which is always nice. The staff is very polite, always eager to serve you and leave a most favorable impression of Konstantin Hotel and Samarkand city overall.

Hotel has modern, spacious and comfortable rooms equipped with all necessary conveniences: decent bathrooms, phone, opening windows, satellite television, internal and IDD phone, mini bar and conditioner. There are two luxurious rooms in the hotel decorated in Italian style. All the rooms are quite spacious and have a very nice decor. In fact the whole hotel has nice decor and the owner clearly has a crush on Marilyn Monroe, as she is everywhere.

Breakfast is plentiful and good with variety of breads, crepes/pancakes and other local meals. Visitors can have a rest behind the well-stock bar after long day of excursions across Samarkand or tiresome business meetings. Restaurant serves both local cuisine and European cuisine. Open air seats are available and a true pleasure at summer time.

Slightly outdated but very well kept hotel with spacious rooms, good breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. Recommended without hesitation
