The architecture of the Tashkent Metro is one of the most beautiful in the world, and it is a traditional destination for tourists and guests...
Hotels
Ideal is a small hotel not far from Tashkent city centre close to central railway station. It is just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Orthodox church. There is a good Korean restaurant in the building and several good and cheap cafes nearby. There is a mini-market in the neighborhood.
There are only 16 rooms in the hotel. They are of decent size but have too low ceilings and one would have to be careful moving around the room located at the attic of the building. All rooms are clean, have nice comfortable beds. Despite its name the hotel facilities are not the ideal. Lot of things in the rooms just do not work (Wifi is too slow, problems with TV & radio). Taps are leaking, only half of the bulbs work, carpets are vacuumed carelessly.
The buffet breakfast is served in the basement and is quite disappointing. Just cheese and sausages.
Staff is unmotivated and in need of strong hand.
Clearly not the ideal hotel. But quite cheap and good for backpackers.
