Hotels
This family-run hotel is at an unbeatable location on the central square of Bukhara right in the corner of the architectural ensemble Lyabi-Hauz. From the street you will see only a small entrance with a sign, but when you enter the hotel, you can see a spacious courtyard and cafe, a great place to spend evenings in Bukhara. The hotel runs a cafe as well, where you can get a pretty good caffeine fix. It is next to the hotel, a nice place to drink some coffee.
Hotel Fatima has 21 rooms, each of them is done in a classic style. All rooms are wide and light, but old and could do with an uplift. They are spotlessly clean and the showers are always hot. Room facilities create an atmosphere for a good rest and stay.
There is a standard package of hotel services such as 24h room service, laundry and others. Free Wi-Fi is available on the territory of the hotel.
The staff isn't impolite but very uninterested and largely demotivated. As in other places over the country it is mostly the kids who do the work in the hotel.
Breakfast is decent and you get an excellent all-you-can-eat breakfast of Uzbek delicacies in the morning: fruits (grapes, figs, peaches, apricots), ommlette, semolina, different pastry with fillings, clabber (sour milk), jam from rose lepels!
Location couldn't be better. But staff service leaves much to be desired.
