Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinhuzha Abdurakhmanov, welcoming the participants, noted that in recent years our country has implemented large-scale reforms to diversify the tourism market, develop new destinations, fill projects with tourism content, and create conditions for foreign tourists visiting Uzbekistan.
Detailed information is provided on the ongoing work to create tourism infrastructure, increase the number of local air and railway routes, and create hotels and tourist and entertainment centers in each region that meet international standards in order to provide high-quality service for those taking a trip to Uzbekistan.
The famous actor Keisuke Minami, who is currently the host of the Uzbekistan section of the most famous Japanese travel show “Tabi Salad,” addressed the participants with a video greeting.
The actor called on Japanese tourists to discover Uzbekistan, noting that his visit to our country in April this year as part of the filming of the show made a great impression on him.
As part of the presentation, a quiz “Do you know Uzbekistan?” was held, which revealed interesting facts about Uzbekistan to the Japanese audience.
The event participants stated that they would be happy to promote the tourism potential, history and culture of Uzbekistan, and Uzbek national cuisine in their blogs, as well as on pages on social networks.
Promotional campaigns and activities of this kind surely familiarize foreign audiences with the tourist sites of Uzbekistan, historical cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, thus increasing the interest of more foreigners to travel to Uzbekistan.
