Uzbekistan’s tourism is promoted on the digital billboards at the Riga International Airport

Advertising videos about the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan have been launched on digital advertising displays at the largest airport in the Baltics – Riga International Airport.

The videos are displayed 24/7, 20 times per hour, and introduce passengers and airport visitors to the historical and architectural monuments of Uzbekistan, the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, natural landscapes and the modern appearance and infrastructure of Uzbekistan.

The weekly audience of advertising electronic boards in the Riga International Airport is about 100 thousand people departing and arriving in Latvia from different parts of the world.

Promoting video materials about Uzbekistan’s cities and historical architecture is intended to attract more tourists to visit Uzbekistan by familiarizing them with the colorful and unique historical and cultural sites of our country. Due to the high passenger traffic of the airport hub, it is indeed a great opportunity for our country to draw the attention of more foreigners who are yet unfamiliar with our country and inspire them to travel to Uzbekistan.

Riga Airport is the largest airport in the Baltic countries in terms of cargo and passenger traffic. At the end of 2022, the airport's passenger traffic exceeded 8.7 million people. It is a hub for the national airline of Latvia “air Baltic”, as well as for charter airlines “Smart Lynx Airlines” and “Ryanair”.

In 2005 in Munich, at the congress of the European Organization of Airports Council International, Riga Airport was recognized as the best in Europe in the category of serving from one to five million passengers per year in terms of passenger service, aircraft, and security measures.

Riga International Airport has more than once been ranked among the “Top 100” airports in the world in terms of the number of passengers served on international flights during the week.
