Uzbekistan to host the First International Festival of Theatrical Art "Eurasia" in the capital city Tashkent

Uzbekistan comes up with another international cultural event in May in the capital: The First International Festival of Theatrical Art "Eurasia" will be held in Tashkent on 22 May -28 May 2023.

The event is organized in accordance with the resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to hold the international festival of theatrical art “Eurasia”, which approved the proposal of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan and the Association of Theater Workers of Uzbekistan to hold this festival once every two years in the capital of Uzbekistan. The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution on this on 23 April 2021.

The International Festival of Theatrical Art "Eurasia" will be held in Tashkent once every two years. The holding of the theater festival was envisaged by the program for the development of the sphere of culture and art in Uzbekistan in 2020-2021, approved by the president in May 2020.

The international festival “Eurasia” provides an opportunity for creative exchange, and reveals new talents. Within the framework of the festival, current processes in art on an international level are studied, which serves to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between different cultures and countries and to expand the scope of creative cooperation on a global scale. In addition, scientific and practical conferences will be held within the framework of the festival.

Organizing such kind of international cultural events gathers local and foreign representatives of art in one circle, thus promoting both Uzbek art among foreign travelers visiting Uzbekistan, and familiarizing Uzbek people with international art and its modern development.
