A global networking and industry event, IMTM 2023, was held in Tel Aviv on 14-15 February this year.
IMTM 2023 is a platform designed to connect professionals and experts in the tourism industry from all over the world, where participants are able to meet established contacts, and develop more cooperation through supplementary meetings and seminars.
Uzbekistan also took participation at the International Mediterranean Tourism Fair (IMTM 2023) in Israel and presented its tourism products and services to the international audience. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan, State Unitary Enterprise National PR-center of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airways and travel companies of Uzbekistan attended the exhibition.
Within the framework of the fair, the presentation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan named “Uzbekistan – The Crossroad of Civilizations. Tourism Potential of Uzbekistan.” was presented to the participants and guests of the fair, which made a great impression on international experts and visitors of the IMTM 2023.
As was noted by the participants and guests, the presentation of Uzbekistan at the fair looked different than other delegations' participation. The tourism potential and cultural heritage of the historical cities of Uzbekistan such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva were presented to the international audience.
Furthermore, a joint presentation "Gastronomy of Uzbekistan" was organized by the famous Uzbek chef Bakhriddin Chusti and Israeli chef Israel Aharoni, a descendant of Bukharian Jews. Participants and guests of the fair had a great opportunity to taste delicious and unique Uzbek national dishes prepared by one of the best chefs.
As a part of the “Gastronomy of Uzbekistan”, a master class was organized for those, who were interested in mastering some samples of Uzbek cuisine. Uzbekistan also presented national and musical performances with the participation of Uzbek singers and dancers.
Other countries, which participated at the International Mediterranean Tourism Fair (IMTM 2023) in Israel included the following: Belarus, Montenegro, Hungary, France, Greece, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Turkey, Slovakia, Georgia, South Korea, Czech Republic, Spain. More than 25,000 guests in total participated in the exhibition in Tel Aviv.
