First charter flight between Uzbekistan and Ukraine resumes after a long break

The first flight between Uzbekistan and Ukraine after a break of five years was resumed for the destination of Tashkent-Kiev-Tashkent. The charter flight was held on 26 September 2021 since May 2015 after a long break.

The flight that arrived from Tashkent to Kyiv after a break of five years was welcomed with a celebration at Kyiv Boryspil International Airport. The management of the airport and airlines representatives welcomed the flight and the crew of Uzbekistan Airways with greetings.

The Ukrainian side informed that they would take all necessary measures in order to organize high-class services for Uzbekistan Airways flights and hope for an increase in the number of flights between Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

Organizing charter flights between Uzbekistan and Ukraine will serve to regulating the disputes between the aviation authorities of the two countries several years ago and resuming regular flights between Uzbekistan and Ukraine. This would enhance and contribute to developing tourism in Uzbekistan and Ukraine at the same time.

The Uzbek side also highlighted their readiness and interest in developing the partnership in both tourism and aviation exchange between the two countries. Increasing the number of flights between the two countries will attract more tourists visiting Uzbekistan.
