As reported by Gazeta.uz, recently announced abolition of visas to Uzbekistan for tourists from 27 countries, which supposed to take effect from 1 April 2017, postponed until January 1st, 2021. Changes approved by the decree of the President Shavkat Mirziyoev dated 22nd December 2016. Meanwhile postponed the introduction of electronic visa system, simplified custom control for foreign tourists at the international airports of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Urgench, as well as separate passport control for residents and nonresidents at the country's airports and train stations.
